Amazon Music x Primavera Sound Festival
Real-time culture at festival scale.
For four consecutive years, Morning Coffee has led Amazon Music’s social-first coverage of Primavera Sound, transforming one of Europe’s most important music festivals into a multi-market, always-on digital experience designed for the social era.
What started as local market execution evolved into a central operational and creative hub coordinating content, creators and social publishing across multiple international markets including Spain, UK, Germany, Italy and the US.
Across four editions, we developed and refined a scalable social coverage model capable of operating in real time across dozens of artists, creators, stakeholders and content streams, while continuously optimizing creative and workflows based on yearly learnings and performance data.
THE CHALLENGE
Build a social coverage ecosystem capable of turning Primavera Sound into a continuous global conversation across platforms while supporting Amazon Music’s livestream, artist programming and brand positioning in real time.
The challenge went far beyond festival recap content. The operation required:
- Real-time live clipping and publishing from the official livestream
- Fast-turnaround editing pipelines running throughout the festival
- Social-first creator activations across multiple markets
- Artist interviews, liners, backstage and BTS content
- Community-driven coverage designed for high engagement velocity
- Cross-market coordination between European and US teams
- Reactive publishing workflows capable of responding to live cultural moments instantly
At the same time, the project demanded consistency in branding and messaging while still allowing each market to adapt content culturally for local audiences.
THE APPROACH
Morning Coffee built and operated a fully integrated real-time content system combining strategy, production, editing, creator management, publishing and coordination under one unified workflow.
The campaign operated across three key phases:
- Discover: building anticipation and livestream intent before the festival
- Experience: real-time festival coverage during the event
- Relive: extending the lifespan of the festival conversation post-event
Our work included:
- Real-time editing and publishing from the festival grounds
- Live clipping from Amazon Music’s official livestream
- Creator content production and coordination
- Artist social formats and interviews
- Short-form reactive content engineered for high organic reach
- Multi-market coordination and approval systems
- Centralized planning and publishing trackers
- Social toolkits and content frameworks for global teams
- Agile production systems designed for high-volume output under extreme turnaround times
As the operation scaled year after year, Morning Coffee became a key strategic partner helping evolve the social coverage model itself, optimizing workflows, creator structures, content formats and publishing strategies through performance analysis and operational learnings gathered across previous editions.
THE RESULT
Over four consecutive editions, the project evolved into one of Amazon Music Europe’s most ambitious real-time social operations.
The campaign generated:
- Hundreds of pieces of real-time social content
- Multi-market creator activations across Europe
- Millions of organic impressions and engagements across Instagram, TikTok and other platforms
- Significant livestream awareness and amplification during the festival
- A scalable cross-market social framework capable of adapting globally while remaining culturally relevant locally
The operation became a benchmark internally for how entertainment, livestream and social-first storytelling can merge into a single agile ecosystem built for internet culture and real-time audience behavior.
For Morning Coffee, Primavera Sound became more than a festival coverage project.
It became a live testing ground for the future of social entertainment production.
