      El embrujo trasciende

A social-first cultural campaign bringing contemporary flamenco into dialogue with classical Spanish art.

In November 2024, Amazon Music partnered with the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza to celebrate Flamenco Month through an experience blending music, visual art, cultural heritage and digital storytelling. Morning Coffee led the social creative direction, content production and multi-platform rollout of a campaign designed to connect tradition with a new generation through a contemporary visual language.

The campaign received international recognition at the Communicator Awards, winning Excellence in Campaign – Arts & Entertainment and Social Content Series – Arts, Culture & Entertainment, while also becoming a finalist at the Global Social Media Awards for Best Integrated Campaign.

      The challenge

The objective went far beyond promoting a collaboration between Amazon Music and one of Spain’s most prestigious museums. The real challenge was making flamenco feel culturally alive inside social platforms shaped by speed, scrolling behaviour and modern digital aesthetics, without relying on clichés or superficial representations of the genre.

The campaign needed to resonate with younger audiences while preserving cultural authenticity, creating a narrative capable of existing simultaneously within the museum’s artistic universe, flamenco’s emotional identity and real social media consumption habits.

      The artist

Ángeles Toledano became the emotional core of the campaign. Widely recognised as one of the leading voices of Spain’s new flamenco generation, Toledano embodied the exact cultural tension the project aimed to explore: heritage and modernity coexisting naturally.

For the campaign, she reinterpreted “Sin Ti No Soy Nada” by Amaral as an Amazon Music Original, transforming the iconic 2002 track into an intimate and emotionally charged flamenco performance.

      The creative approach

We developed an audiovisual piece conceived as a dialogue between artistic disciplines. The museum was treated not merely as a location, but as a narrative environment where painting, music and performance could coexist within the same cultural experience.

The Social Film combined painterly references, gallery-inspired lighting and a visceral cinematic approach to reinforce the idea that flamenco continues to evolve without losing its identity.

The narrative expanded beyond the hero film through a platform-native social ecosystem including:

      • Episodic edits tailored for TikTok and Instagram.
      • Vertical-first assets designed for retention and feed behaviour.
      • Fragmented storytelling optimised for social consumption.
      • Cultural coverage and experiential content from the museum event.
      • Street activations during International Flamenco Day in Madrid.

As part of the campaign, we brought the visual identity into the streets by distributing carnations and museum postcards featuring exclusive messages from Ángeles Toledano, connecting the digital narrative with real-world cultural interaction.

      The event

The campaign culminated with the premiere of the Social Film at the Museo Nacional Thyssen-Bornemisza during a special Amazon Music event.

      The experience included:

      • A large-screen premiere of the Social Film.
      • A live performance by Ángeles Toledano.
      • A curated museum tour focused on avant-garde masterpieces.
      • Simultaneous social and digital distribution of the campaign content.

The project also featured contemporary flamenco voices discussing how the genre can continue evolving without disconnecting from its cultural roots.

      Results

The campaign successfully transformed a cultural initiative into a highly emotional and socially relevant digital conversation.

      Key performance highlights:

      • 254.6K total organic impressions across Instagram and TikTok.
      • TikTok generated 178.7K impressions, becoming the campaign’s main reach driver.
      • Instagram delivered the strongest engagement performance, doubling TikTok interactions.
      • The Ángeles Toledano teaser became the campaign’s top-performing asset with 99.2K organic impressions and 375 engagements.
      • In Paid Media, the main hero asset achieved a 51.8% View Rate versus a 43.7% benchmark.
      • Audience responses reinforced the campaign’s emotional impact, with comments such as “you are flamenco in human form.”

Beyond performance metrics, the campaign strengthened Amazon Music’s positioning within premium cultural conversations in Spain, demonstrating how a social-first strategy can turn an artistic initiative into a contemporary cultural experience.
